Course Description:
This is an advanced EMDR training course and was designed for EMDR therapists who have completed their basic EMDR training requirements. This program provides an overview of designing and practicing EMDR within an intensive therapy model vs. a traditional therapy model. The focus is on foundational information about the intensive therapy model, differences with traditional therapy approach to EMDR protocol and clinical considerations for selecting appropriate clients for intensives.This training will be provided through lecture and discussion virtually over zoom.

Intended Audience: Provisional or fully licensed counselors, social workers, marriage & family therapists, psychologists, etc. who have completed EMDRIA approved EMDR basic training courses & requirements.Â
Completion of an EMDRIA Approved EMDR basic training course is required for attendance. Participants will be required to submit their EMDRIA approved EMDR training certificate of completion to document eligibility.Â
Skill Level: Full EMDR Training Required: Participants must have completed the full EMDR basic training in order to attend and be eligible for EMDRIA credits. This is an advanced level course. Skills and information taught in this course are useful for developing and advanced EMDR therapists.

It is the participant’s responsibility to determine if EMDRIA credits meet requirements for their state’s continuing education standards.

Jennifer is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) licensed in the state of Virginia. Jennifer is an EMDRIA Certified therapist, EMDRIA Approved Consultant, and the Owner of Simply Rewire. Simply Rewire is an EMDRIA Approved Credit Provider #23026.Â
Since 2021, Jennifer has focused on providing Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy intensives at her private practice Sea Glass LLC in Richmond, Virginia. In addition to her clinical work, Jennifer provides training and consultation to fellow EMDR therapists on refining their EMDR skills and growing their EMDR services in private practice.
After completing her basic EMDR training in 2016, Jennifer knew that EMDR was the missing piece she had been searching for to help her clients heal from trauma and stress. In 2020, when Jennifer started learning about EMDR Intensives, again it was clear this was another missing piece to bring accelerated healing to her clients and flexibility into her work life.Â
