Course Description:

This is an advanced EMDR training course and is designed for EMDR therapists who have completed their basic EMDR training requirements. This training provides a practical, concise and integrative approach to using EMDR to address pre-verbal trauma through an early developmental informed approach. Applying an Early Developmental Approach to the Standard EMDR protocol facilitates healing maladaptive relational patterns and repairing core developmental wounds.

Jennifer Jenkins-Boitnott, LPC

Jennifer is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) licensed in the state of Virginia. Jennifer is an EMDR Certified Therapist, EMDR Consultant, and the Owner of Simply Rewire. Simply Rewire is an EMDRIA Approved Credit Provider #23026. 

Since 2021, Jennifer has focused on providing Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy intensives at her private practice Sea Glass LLC in Richmond, Virginia. In addition to her clinical work, Jennifer provides training and consultation to fellow EMDR therapists on refining their EMDR skills and growing their EMDR services in private practice.

After completing her basic EMDR training in 2016, Jennifer knew that EMDR was the missing piece she had been searching for to help her clients heal from trauma and stress. In 2020, when Jennifer started learning about EMDR Intensives, again it was clear this was another missing piece to bring accelerated healing to her clients and flexibility into her work life. 

Melanie Stoudt, LPC

Melanie is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) licensed in the state of Virginia. Melanie is an EMDR Certified Therapist, EMDR Consultant, and the Founder/Owner of Melanie M Stoudt LLC.

Melanie has been in a private practice for over 20 years and completed EMDR Basic Training in 2009. She works in Richmond, VA, exclusively offering EMDR Intensives to provide more targeted relief and freedom from the impact of trauma in order for clients to respond in a more adaptive manner. Melanie’s clients are primarily adults with complex trauma and dissociation, PTSD, Anxiety Disorders, attachment-related disorders, and/or phobias. 

Additionally, Melanie provides EMDR consultation for therapists seeking EMDRIA Certification and Approved Consultant status, as well as consultation for utilizing EMDR with specialized populations, including clients with dissociative disorders.

Course Details

Intended Audience: Provisional or fully licensed counselors, social workers, marriage & family therapists, psychologists, etc. who have completed EMDRIA approved EMDR basic training courses & requirements. 

Completion of an EMDRIA Approved EMDR basic training course is required for attendance. Participants will be required to submit their EMDRIA approved EMDR training certificate of completion to document eligibility. 


Skill Level: Full EMDR Training Required: Participants must have completed the full EMDR basic training in order to attend and be eligible for EMDRIA credits. This is an advanced level course. Skills and information taught in this course are useful for developing and advanced EMDR therapists.

 

CEs Offered: This course is pending approval by EMDRIA for 4 credits

It is the participant’s responsibility to determine if EMDRIA credits meet requirements for their state’s continuing education standards.

Simply Rewire maintains responsibility for this program and its content in accordance with EMDRIA requirements.

  • Participants must be present for and have camera on during the entire training
